How to Play State Stats Higher or Lower
The State Stats Quiz is a fast-paced "Higher or Lower" trivia game. We pit two random U.S. states against each other and ask you to compare them based on a specific statistic: Population, Total Area (Square Miles), or Statehood Year.
The Rules of the Streak
- The Setup: You are shown the statistic for State A. State B's statistic is hidden.
- Your Choice: You must decide whether State B's statistic is higher or lower than State A's.
- Sudden Death: If you guess correctly, you earn a point and your streak continues. State B becomes the new State A for the next round. If you guess wrong, the game is over!
U.S. State Statistics Trivia
This game exposes some of the most surprising facts about the United States. Did you know that Alaska's area is larger than Texas, California, and Montana combined? Or that Wyoming, despite its massive size, has the lowest population in the country (even lower than Vermont and DC)? Pay close attention to these extreme outliers—they'll save your streak!
