How to Play Daily State Guess
Daily State Guess is the shared daily puzzle for StateGuess. Everyone gets the same hidden U.S. state each day. You have six guesses, and each miss unlocks another clue about the answer.
Rules
- Enter a U.S. state name or postal abbreviation.
- After each miss, the game reveals another clue such as region, capital, abbreviation, nickname, or neighboring states.
- Solve the state in as few guesses as possible to protect your local streak.
- Results are stored in your browser. No account is required.
How to Use the Clues
Start broad, then narrow down. Region and distance clues help you choose the right part of the map. Capital and abbreviation clues test factual memory. Neighbor clues are usually the strongest signal because they describe the state's exact position in the U.S. border network.
Sharing Without Spoilers
The result text is designed to show how many guesses you needed without revealing the answer. That keeps the daily puzzle fair for friends, classmates, and group chats that play later in the day.
